Don't toss it, Just Give it a Little Conditioner Love.

I bought this Leather Conditioner & Restorer for my husband to polish up his cowboy boots. I was looking for a product that worked and had a reasonable price and I found this product online. I did received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review, but this in no way does it affect my opinion as to what I think of the product. I started by testing it out on an old pair of boots I was amazed at how shinny the boots began to look, I also like the new leather smell again.
I then decided to try it out on our leather car seats, I decided to do a spot check didn't want to ruin my seats. But yet again this Leather Conditioner by Leather Nova exceeded my expectations, my seats were are all scratched up from the babies ( I have twins) car seats and my herd of soccer players I haul around in my SUV. After I finished applying the leather condition with the cool little sponge included I let my seats and boots dry for about 1 hour. The results were fantastic, my car seats look bright, shinny and slippery like leather. I love the leather smell and most of all my husband was super impressed at how his old boots had a rejuvenated look to them.
Nice non-sticky conditioner

I have a few vintage Louis Vuitton purses and use a leather conditioner regularly to restore them and keep them moisturized. My prior conditioner was Lexol, it was ok but smelled horrible and left the purses tacky/sticky and unpleasant to the touch, even after buffing. The Nova product was not tacky or sticky to use and the included sponge made application a breeze. Nova made the body of the purses shiny and supple, but unfortunately the product darkened the Vachetta leather handles on the Vuitton purses. I was aware that there would be some darkening from use of the conditioner, but this was much more of a color change than I had expected. I also used the Nova on a faded worn spot on my older leather sofa, it appears to have darkened that area slightly, which is a plus in this case. I will continue to use the Nova conditioner on my purses but will use another product to condition the handles.
Leather Nova vs. Lexol - to the mat By Afia TOP 500 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on February 16, 2014 Verified Purchase I tested Leather Nova against Lexol using 2 leather couches with identical leather except in color. You can see this in the photos that I submitted.
Lexol is made from animal products - a combination of sulfated neatsfoot oil (oil rendered from cattle shins and feet (not hooves)) and tallow fatty acids (rendered from cattle fat). I've been using Lexol for years on many items.
Leather Nova isn't made from animal products and doesn't list the ingredients. But through email with a Leather Nova representative, I learned that it's made from entirely from a synthetic polymer that's a trade secret.
In the couch face off, I discovered that I had to use a lot more Lexol than Leather Nova to cover the entire area. I used Leather Nova on the red couch and Lexol on the green couch (see photos).
Leather Nova left the red couch looking wet and shiny after completely buffing it and it was dry to the touch. Lexol left the green couch feeling almost the same and it was flat, not shiny after complete buffing and dry to the touch.
Naturally, I got some drops of both conditioners on the mat (see photo). Lexol was simple to wipe up. Not Leather Nova. I wiped and wiped the mat but it looked shiny. I ended up wiping some Leather Nova over the entire mat - surely just some drops. Now, 2 days later the mat looks shiny and feels a little slippery when stepped on with socks.
Separately, I used Leather Nova on a leather jacket that I've had for about 10 years. The leather feels much softer and just today somebody commented on my new leather jacket. I believe it was mistaken as new because of the smell, which one can identify as a leather smell yet maybe not only leather.
My conclusion is these are both excellent leather conditioners and that the user should first determine if the finished product should look wet or flat. If wet, go with Leather Nova. If flat, go with Lexol.
